Millstream Chichester National Park The Park attracts over 20,000 visitors each year. The best time to visit is between May and August when daytime temperatures are warm and there is little rain. Python Pool, easily accessible by road, holds fresh water all year round and offers great swimming. Please check with the Karratha Visitor Centre for updates on road accessibility and suggestions for day tours within the park.
Karijini National Park Karijini National Park is one of Australia's most spectacular natural attractions and the second largest National Park in Western Australia. For information on attractions please visit Karijini Visitor centre.
Hearsons Cove Located on the Burrup Peninsula between Karratha and Dampier is an ideal location to view the "Stairway to the Moon" between May through to October.
Miaree Pool 30km south of Karratha on the coastal highway is the Maitland River and Miaree Pool. Miaree Pool is a fabulous spot for swimming and picnics.
Dampier & Burrup Petroglyphs The largest collection of Indigenous Rock Art can be found in numerous locations in the Dampier Archipelago and in deep canyon at Burrup. For information on locations, please visit the Karratha or Dampier visitor centres.
North West Shelf Gas Project Visitors Centre Features a viewing of the plant with models of the operation. Regular screenings of films of the operation also run in the theatrette.
Fish the Dampier Archipelago The Dampier Archipelago comprised of 42 islands within a 45km radius. The Archipelago offers excellent boating and world-class fishing opportunities.
Historic Town of Cossack Located 15km from Roebourne, Cossack is a historic ghost town at the mouth of the Harding River. Visit the nine historic buildings, the cemetery and gain an insight into the regions maritime and pastoral heritage.
Point Samson is one of Western Australia's best kept secrets. Amazing fishing located at the eastern tip of the Dampier Archipelago.
