Olympic Dam Copper Uranium Mine and Processing   Olympic Dam is Australia's largest underground mine.  It is also the world's fourth largest copper deposit, fifth largest gold deposit and the largest uranium deposit. Olympic Dam also contains significant quantities of silver.

Olympic Dam Public Surface Tours BHP Billiton conducts public surface tours three times a week (days vary depending on on-site commitments) from 9.00am, leaving by bus outside the Visitor Information Centre at Roxby downs Cultural and Leisure Precinct. The tours run for approximately two hours  and cost is a gold coin donation to the Royal flying Doctor Service. Bookings are essential.    Tel: 08 8671 2001

Arid Recovery Wildlife Tour  Explore the Arid Lands conservation reserve and learn about local plants and wildlife. This tour includes a night walk to a viewing hide. View Bilbies, Stick Nest Rats, Burrowing Bettongs and Western Barred Bandicoots. Tour deports from Roxby Downs around sunset.

Andamooka Approx 30km drive from Roxby Downs, Andamooka is a strange and wonderful opal mining town in the desert.
